As a New Media scholar, historian and broadcast veteran Tim brings a unique set of skills to WADL and its clients. Tim began his broadcast career as a National Account Executive with Eastman Radio in Chicago where he was welcomed with the words “Be Fabulous or Be Gone!” Tired of the brutal Chicago winters, Tim returned to Detroit and started a career in local sales beginning with WWJ, Buckley Radio, CKLW, WJLB, WXYT/WMXD, WJZZ/WCHB, and CIMX/CIDR/CKWW/CKLW. Looking for something new and exciting Tim became a Major Account Executive with Skytel where he became the “go to guy”. After Skytel closed its Detroit office Tim became Director of Corporate Marketing at Detroit Public Television where his creative pragmatism led his team to record sales figures. Rhonda Joined the WADL-TV family as National Sales Manager in May 2010 and brings with her over 25 years of broadcast sales experience!
Rhonda began her career in Houston Texas. After selling local spot radio then as a national Sales rep selling commercial airtime for over 50 TV stations, Rhonda   decided it was time to move back home to Detroit to raise their kids with family. Rhonda transferred with Seltel ( which later became Millennium TV Sales ) until joining WXYZ-TV as a Regional Account Executive in 1999 for more  than 10 years with WXYZ, Rhonda could not resist the opportunity to join the WADL-TV family as National Sales Manager and the opportunity to work for a true

Denise Dody Johnson is the Marketing and Public Relations Director for WADL TV Detroit. Dody is a 20 year broadcasting veteran whose career includes radio as well as television and is a knowledgeable and experienced professional in broadcast sales and marketing, and television producing

Affectionately known as "Dody" by most people is a native Detroiter who attended Winterhalter Elementary, St Cecilia's, Redford High School, University of Detroit and Wayne State University.

Mike broke into the business in 1988 after graduating from CMU in 1986 and freelancing in the Detroit area for a couple of years.  His big break came at a local independent station where he was hired as a Master Control Operator.  He worked on all three shifts before finally ending up on the midnight shift.  On the midnight shift he became involved in transmitter maintenance when the transmitter was shut off once a month for service.  Mike helped out the maintenance staff and found out that he liked working on electronics.  To further his career Mike enrolled in the Electronics program at the local community college where he earned an Associate’s degree.  After earning his degree Mike was given more maintenance responsibilities until he was finally hired as a Broadcast Maintenance Technician in charge of installing all the equipment used in the conversion to a digital signal.  Mike even learned how to install a digital transmitter.  After working for that local independent station for 20 years Mike was laid off along with all of the other staff

After attending Specs Howard School of Media Arts, I was hired here as a master control operator in and worked my way up to supervisor. 2 years ago I was honored to be named the station’s first Operations Manager. As the Operations Manager, I oversee the Master Control Operators and also coordinate the satellite feeds that we receive—upwards of 30 on a typical day. I’ve grown up here at WADL &

 
Camea Franklin Accounting Manager EXT 3026

camea_franklin Native Detroiter Camea Franklin joined WADL’s Accounting Department as Manager November 2007. Prior to arriving, Camea worked as the Credit Manager for the ABC network affiliate in the Detroit market. Camea revamped WADL’s accounting department processes and procedures in order to be able to handle the accounting duties for a commercial broadcast station. Prior to her career in broadcasting, Camea had a well rounded career including being an entrepreneur with businesses in the areas of bookkeeping, tax and positions in Accounting in the automobile and banking industries.
Camea received her Bachelor’s of Arts from the School of Business at Wayne State University in 1999

Quenton Ross is a native of Detroit, MI and a graduate of Michigan State University where he double-majored in Criminal Justice and Media Studies.

He has been with Adell Broadcasting Corporation since April of 2009 and has helped bring an innovative and creative element to the production department of WADL Detroit.
